OpenAI has officially made
ChatGPT Health available to all users aged 18 and older in the United States. The new feature lets you link medical records, Apple Health data, and other health information directly to ChatGPT. At the same time, OpenAI is drawing attention with a striking claim: on some tasks, its latest AI models now reason at a level that exceeds that of physicians.
That claim sparked immediate debate. During a

Users control what is shared and when ChatGPT may access it. By default, the chatbot asks for explicit permission before using health information in a response. Users can also delete linked records at any time; OpenAI says it removes the data from its systems within thirty days.

Just a day before the introduction, the company was sued by a former Florida pastor. The lawsuit claims ChatGPT advised him for months not to seek medical care, while he ultimately had a life-threatening pulmonary embolism. He says he followed ChatGPT’s advice and delayed necessary treatment.
